Dentist GDC: 252030
Umara graduated from the University of Aberdeen in 2014 and has since gone on to develop her skills through various courses on cosmetic and restorative dentistry. She also has a first class degree in Physiology which has enabled her to take a holistic approach to treating her patients. In addition to general dentistry, she provides cosmetic orthodontic treatments and composite bonding. Umara strongly believes in utilising minimally invasive dentistry to deliver healthy, beautiful smiles. Umara is also currently training to place and restore dental implants, which are the gold standard treatment option for replacing missing teeth. Umara enjoys building long-term relationships with her patients and providing all treatments in a relaxing environment. She treats many patients with dental anxiety, working with them to overcome their phobia. She understands that dental treatment can be daunting and wants to explain everything that her patients need to know to put them at ease. Umara also carries out facial aesthetic treatments, including dermal fillers and anti wrinkle treatments. This is yet another way she can restore her patients' confidence, which she feels is the most satisfying part of her job. Umara has also carried out dental treatment abroad for children in need with the charity Dental Aid Network. This combines her love for dentistry and travelling, and above all with helping people. Her research carried out here led to her first journal publication! Outside of dentistry, Umara loves travelling to different parts of the world and seeing the world through the eyes of a 2 year old, through spending quality time with her son.
